Job Description 6-Month Contract Position | Arlington About the OpportunityOur staffing firm is partnering with an established dental practice in Arlington with an excellent reputation in the community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant for a 6-month contract position starting as soon as possible.
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Schedule: Flexible - Part-time or Full-time available
Hours: 20-50 hours per week (based on your availability)
Location: Arlington
Key Responsibilities- Assist dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Perform front office duties as needed including scheduling and patient communication
Required Qualifications
Experience Level (one of the following):
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience, OR
- Recent graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, friendly demeanor with patients of all ages
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred but Not
Required:
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
- Experience with dental practice management software
