Position: The Montessori Academy of Arlington
The Infant Teacher is a Montessori professional and an integral part of the Parent-Child-Teacher triangle that frames our Portrait of a Graduate. The Infant Teacher:

* Will provide an organized, safe, and nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

* Is responsible for preparing and maintaining the environment in which the Montessori approach to education is implemented and incorporates TMA's mission, culture, goals, values, philosophies, polices, and practices.

* Will work with other TMA teachers as a team to assist in the design and implementation of appropriate instruction.

* Will be accountable for maintaining the overall classroom environment to support Montessori teaching methods and demonstrate a devotion to lifelong learning and respect for the natural world.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications , Skills, and Abilities

* Be enrolled in or have a Montessori teaching credential from a M.A.C.T.E. accredited training program for the age group of children assigned.

* Experience teaching in a Montessori environment.

* Bachelor's degree (preferred).

* Knowledge of development, safety, and regulatory issues surrounding the age group of children assigned.

* Effective classroom management skills.

* Effective oral and written communication skills.

* Effective conflict

Salary Range:
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
