Job Summary

Department of Psychology, College of Science, University of Texas at Arlington is inviting applications for a non‑tenure Academic Professional Track (APT) faculty position for Assistant/Associate/Professor of Instruction to teach and lead the Industrial and Organizational Psychology M.S. program. The contract is nine months renewable and full‑time. The position is expected to begin Fall 2026.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available.

Required Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in I/O psychology or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching graduate courses such as Organizational Behavior, Employee Selection, Employee Training & Development, Research Design, or Practicum/Consulting Skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses such as Business Psychology, Statistics, or other I/O‑related topics using active learning and innovative pedagogy.
  • Experience supervising I/O master’s student capstone projects and a willingness to serve as Director of the I/O M.S. program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in graduate program administration/coordination and/or student advising.
  • At least two years of university‑level psychology teaching experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic educator and practitioner to lead the I/O M.S. program, shape future professionals, guide curriculum, advise students, and coordinate program activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching graduate and undergraduate courses related to the organizational or industrial side of I/O in a face‑to‑face format.
  • Delivering a reduced teaching load (two courses in fall, three in spring for the first two years) that increases to a 3‑3 load after the third year.
  • Mentoring students through applied capstone and consulting experiences.
  • Developing and revising curriculum, advising students, and supporting program growth.
  • Providing leadership toward program success and a sustainable balance between teaching and leadership.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
