Position OverviewThe Special Education Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing individualized instruction to support students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment, collaborate with staff and parents, and ensure compliance with state and federal special education guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation required by law and district policy
- Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with campus personnel to support student achievement
- Promote positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
