Position: Adjunct Faculty, Accounting, Dallas Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid)

Provides quality education and maintains high standards of academic excellence in teaching assigned courses in the discipline. The Adjunct hybrid faculty roles teach assigned courses in person and asynchronously online. This role also maintains office hours as assigned.

Dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. Graduate level Accounting class for the upcoming spring quarter, starting April 6, 2026, in a hybrid format. The hybrid format includes 11 in-person meeting sessions for 2 hours each week held at a predetermined scheduled time (day/evening) at a specific campus, with the balance of the course instructed asynchronously online.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize professional expertise to provide high‑quality instruction.
  • Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos.
  • Arrive on‑campus at least half an hour prior to the start time of in‑person sessions per week during the academic quarter.
  • Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course.
  • Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
  • Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
  • Adhere to University policies and procedures.
  • Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
Job Skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and overall computer skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
  • Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
Work Experience
  • Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.
  • 5 years professional experience in accounting preferred.
Education
  • Doctorate in Accounting, OR
  • Doctorate in Business‑related discipline (accounting concentration or Master’s degree in accounting)
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • CPA license preferred (active or inactive).
Other
  • Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s).
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Typical office setting.
  • Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.
  • Access information using a computer.
  • Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
  • Effectively cope with stressful situations.
  • Strong mental acuity.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
  • Other essential functions and marginal job functions are subject to modification.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Expected starting pay per online assignment for this position per quarter ranges from $2,300 to $2,600, and $3,000 per on‑campus assignment per quarter. Compensation may vary based on location and additional factors.
