Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher for our retail store, providing private and small-group lessons to students of all ages. In this student-focused role, you'll design engaging lesson plans for band and orchestra instruments, support school music programs, and prepare students for performances and auditions. You'll collaborate with sales and repair teams, guide families on instrument and accessory choices, and help grow lesson enrollment while fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment in our store-based lesson studios.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in a retail store setting
• Develop customized lesson plans that support school curricula and student goals in band and orchestra instruments
• Prepare students for performances, auditions, and school music programs
• Advise students and parents on appropriate instruments, accessories, and instructional materials
• Collaborate with store sales and repair teams to support student and school needs
• Maintain accurate student progress records, schedules, and attendance
• Set up, tune, and care for band and orchestra instruments used in lessons
• Support in-store events, recitals, and community music outreach activities
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Promote Music & Arts programs, rentals, and services to drive lesson enrollment
