Upper School History and Government Teacher

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom
• Provide appropriate academic support to students and monitor progress
• Partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner
• Uphold and model Great Hearts culture, policies, and expectations, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships
• Participate in faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and ongoing professional growth

• Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
• Certification is not required for general education
• All majors are welcome
• US Work Authorization is required
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements
• May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities

Demonstrates the ability to effectively teach using the Great Hearts curriculum while fostering a positive classroom environment. Strong communication skills are essential for building partnerships with families and collaborating with faculty.
