The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor. We seek candidates working in inverse problems, with emphasis on analytical foundations and applications to medical imaging and remote sensing. Successful candidates should have research interests complementing or intersecting with the department’s existing strengths in analysis, PDEs, integral geometry, and mathematical physics.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an active, independent research program leading to high-quality scholarly publications and external funding; teach undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses; advise and mentor students, including supervision of research projects, theses, and dissertations; and contribute appropriate service to the Department, College, University, and broader mathematical community.

PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or closely related area.

Candidates should have a strong record of research accomplishment and a clear vision for developing an independent, externally funded research program in Inverse Problems and Imaging.
