Clinical Placement and Experience Coordinator

The annual salary for this position ranges from $52,200 to $62,500. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

Coordinate student clinical field experiences in accordance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations. Responsible for identifying, coordinating and verifying documentation for student clinical placements. Facilitate clinical teaching seminars and events.

• Work collaboratively with others on Texas Education Agency (TEA) documentation, hire and verify credentials of qualified supervisors, identify clinical placements, and train supervisors.
• Communicate activities related to clinical experiences, resolve issues, and answer questions accurately through excellent written and verbal communication with students, program coordinators, and clinical supervisors.
• Complete and verify required field office documentation and benchmarking and follow the policies and practices of the TEA to ensure that student field experiences are in accordance with TEA regulations.
• This includes making sure paperwork is received, completed, and uploaded; clinical assignments are made; and supervisory documents are submitted in accordance with the Texas Administrative Code (TAC).
• Assist with state and federal reports.
• Facilitate clinical teaching seminars and events with faculty and inform students of clinical teaching requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in education area and three (3) years of teaching experience in K-12 mid-level or secondary content area.
• Valid teaching certificate.
• Understanding of Texas (TEA) clinical experience requirements or seven (7) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• One year of clinical teaching supervision experience in an institution of higher education.
• University-level teaching experience.
• Experience as a T-TESS Field Supervisor Coaching Training.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Requires oral presentation skills.
• Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management programs) and familiarity with electronic communications strategies.
• Occasional weekend and evening projects.
• Knowledge of higher education and issues related to student affairs.

• Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 5:00pm.
• Requires occasional after-hours and weekend responsibilities depending on the season, workload, and special events.

• Driving personal vehicle required.
• Travel requirements:
  Ability to travel to different campus locations, or offsite events.
