The University of Texas at Arlington Fab Lab is conducting a national search for a Fab Lab Director who is interested in providing leadership within our lab during a time of extraordinary growth. The UTA Fab Lab is poised to offer incredible opportunities for the learners who use our space; as the first MIT-affiliated Fab Lab in a university in Texas, our mission is to democratize access to cutting-edge technologies for all UTA students, faculty, and staff, as well as for the broader DFW community.

ResponsibilitiesThe Manager of the Fab Lab is responsible for the overall operation of the UTA Fab Lab and the development of programs and services which meet the needs of Fab Lab learners who have a wide range of experience and expertise using the equipment in the lab and who cross the boundaries of multiple disciplines including education, arts, business, engineering, computer science, and the humanities.
This position requires a strong commitment to customer service coupled with a vision for using emerging technologies and evidence-based decision practices to develop, implement, and assess services.
