Build, Test, and Support the Technology That Keeps Aerospace Moving
What You’ll DoAs a SIL Engineering Technician, your daily work will support engineering, testing, and integration efforts.
Responsibilities include:
- Fabricating interconnecting cables and wiring harnesses from engineering drawings
- Crimping, assembling, and soldering connector contacts to aircraft and J-STD standards
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing test benches and lab infrastructure equipment
- Reading and interpreting aircraft-level wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Wiring and supporting serial data interfaces such as ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, and IEEE-488
- Installing fiber optic cabling for reflective memory hardware
- Safely operating hand tools and shop equipment (powered and unpowered)
- Following ESD and FOD practices while working in confined areas when required
- Collaborating closely with engineers and technicians in a team-based environment
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of technical industry experience
- Ability to crimp, assemble, and solder cable assemblies to aircraft standards
- Ability to read and understand aircraft wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Experience troubleshooting wiring and electrical systems using test equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance
- Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent hands‑on experience
- Experience with fiber optic cabling and reflective memory hardware
- Military background in aircraft or systems maintenance and support
- Familiarity with aerospace lab environments and SIL operations

$35.00 to $45.00 per hour
