Description:
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr for the THAAD Program Production Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) mission by delivering high-quality production solutions for the THAAD program. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer Sr you will be responsible for providing design-for-manufacture input, transitioning new or revised designs from development to production, leading manufacturing process verifications, and driving cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining close communication with our government customer and cross-functional partners.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Communicate frequently with the government customer and internal stakeholders.
* Provide design-for-manufacture feedback and support transition of designs to production.
* Lead manufacturing process verifications and validations.
* Develop and present proposal estimates.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other system integration data.
- Ability to travel domestically 25% of the time - Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
- Active Secret clearance OR ability to obtain Secret clearance.
Desired
Skills:
- Experience in Electrical Assembly, Mechanical Assembly, Machining, and related Manufacturing processes.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
- Process improvement experience
- Experience working with Government Customers
- THAAD Manufacturing Experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
