In this Proposal Manager (Intermediate-level) role, you will be responsible for working as a THAAD Acquisition/Proposal Lead focusing primarily on future efforts/contracts and acquisition strategy. The main role of the THAAD New Business Team within the context of proposal development is to provide leadership, oversight, and acquisition strategy to the THAAD FMS, ACD, TPSC, Production, and future contracts. This role will lead and support other Proposal Managers across the THAAD contracts to evolve program needs into a fully defined, on-contract project with the U.S. Government.

This involves the entire acquisition life cycle from pre-coordination with the Government, developing Program Management Estimates (PMEs), Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROMs) and Proposals, and supporting negotiations with the customer and Subcontractors.

This Proposal Manager (Intermediate-level) position requires close coordination of technical and schedule requirements with internal Lockheed Martin Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The Proposal Manager (Intermediate-level) must be able to work effectively in fast paced and dynamic environments and exert some influence on overall proposal objectives, with general direction and supervision.

• Lead THAAD Acquisition/Proposal efforts focusing on future contracts and acquisition strategy.
• Provide leadership, oversight, and acquisition strategy to THAAD FMS, ACD, TPSC, Production, and future contracts; lead and support other Proposal Managers across THAAD contracts.
• Evolve program needs into a fully defined, on-contract project with the U.S. Government.
• Manage the entire acquisition life cycle from pre-coordination with the Government, developing PMEs, ROMs, and Proposals, to supporting negotiations with the customer and Subcontractors.
• Coordinate closely with internal Lockheed Martin SMEs to align technical and schedule requirements; operate in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

• Basic Qualifications: Previous experience as an interface or representative to external customers/stakeholders; experience with managing budgets (e.g., CAM, Financial or Cost Analyst, etc.); US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

  Experience with RFP processes and evaluation; 3+ years in project management, finance, systems engineering, and/or new business efforts; strong organization, analytical, presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills; proactive; ability to develop strategic process improvements; proven track record of meeting objectives and executing commitments; ability to manage escalations and communicate with stakeholders and executive staff; familiarity with business processes (invoicing, billing, funding) in prime/subcontracts;
  
  experience with IDIQ contracts; familiarity with THAAD weapon system elements, capabilities and CONOPS; experience presenting to Senior Leadership; ability to travel; active Secret clearance.
