Experienced Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineering - B/C Shift) - Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3)

Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is hiring an Experienced Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineer) to join the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) team located in Huntsville, AL. This engineer will perform and support troubleshooting, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) technical analysis, and provide solutions to non‑conforming products. The role works directly with cross‑functional and production engineering teams to meet production program objectives.

Boeing Huntsville has multi‑year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements.

Shift
  • B Shift: M–Th; 4x10 – Starts at 4pm
  • C Shift: F/​Sa/Su; 3x12 – Starts at 6am
  • Shifts may be eligible for a shift differential and are subject to availability
Position Responsibilities
  • Applies basic knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles to develop interim or final engineering solutions to product/process issues throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Analyses, conducts root cause analysis, and develops dispositions for design non‑conformances.
  • Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational, and quality issues to develop interim and final engineering solutions.
  • Provides written dispositions for routine design non‑conformances.
  • Participates in Material Review Boards.
  • Represents the engineering community in the production environment, providing lineside support.
  • Recommends simple non‑destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.
  • Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.
  • Develops and implements product/process improvements.
  • May require shift flexibility based on business needs.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed, based on business needs.
  • Non‑standard work‑week options may also be utilized to meet business objectives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent qualification directly related to the work statement.
  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • Knowledge of repair concepts and methodologies, including standard repair processes, component repair concepts, structural and composite repair procedures, basic electrical repair procedures, and basic system repair processes.
  • 3+ years of experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB/LE) authority (including participation in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to repairs).
  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Material Review Board Certification experience.
  • 5+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • 5+ years of production engineering experience with relevant technological knowledge.
  • Experience in solving simple to complex problems.
  • 5+ years of electrical/mechanical system knowledge, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair methodology.
  • Knowledge of circuit card manufacturing, including selective solder and SMT.
  • 5+ years of functional system‑level testing.
Relocation

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required, including U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
