You will be part of something bigger. This is where the best are built. This position is for the PAC-3 Japan Program working in the Quality Engineering department. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Inspecting hardware prior to customer delivery.
• Working root cause and corrective action.
• Handling warranty claims.
• Communicating with the Japanese Customer.
• Working alongside other Japan team members and functions.
• Up to 25% travel will be required for both domestic and international. In addition, the candidate must also be able to:
• Apply quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, production evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
• Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventative action.
• Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
• Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
• Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct product quality tests, perform statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or other related Technical degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
• Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Desired

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules:

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
