Job DescriptionRamboll's Data Center Facilities team (formerly EYP Mission Critical Facilities) leads in Data Center Strategy, Planning, Design, Integration, Commissioning and Testing with experience across thousands of data centers in the U.S. and globally. The role assists clients in combining IT and facility components to enable rapid deployment and achieve critical objectives.

Responsibilities- Act as commissioning agent for mechanical systems, directing and documenting testing on‑site.
- Commission mechanical systems including cooling/heating, plumbing, fire, fuel oil, and BMS in varied environments.
- Manage projects and plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering commissioning role for large facility projects.
- Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.
- Adhere to a rigorous quality management/QC process that validates and documents client systems.
- Identify and assemble required documentation, drawings, and data from clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Develop site‑specific commission plans.
- Develop and/or review factory witness test procedures for major equipment.
- Attend factory witness tests and provide a detailed report identifying deficiencies.
- Schedule and lead commissioning meetings while ensuring proper documentation.
- Develop and administer functional tests for various building mechanical systems.
- Complete documentation in real time using cloud data collection or hard copy forms when required.
- Maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track projects; write comprehensive final commissioning reports.
- Manage any external resources, schedule and direct periodic commissioning meetings, attend construction and coordination meetings as needed.
- Interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors and owners’ agents; execute project assignments; interact across engineering, design, and other departments.
- Submit progress reports and commissioning meeting notes to project and facility managers.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a manner that exceeds expectations.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets and is pay‑range based. The U.S. pay range for this position is $86,000 – $135,000 annually and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
