Job SummaryDevelops and applies engineering design methods, CAD tools, theories, and techniques in the investigation and resolution of technical problems. The role primarily focuses on Mechanical Engineering in flight simulator design and development and is project-oriented, potentially spanning multiple projects and programs.

- Resolve technical problems and provide technical support to suppliers and manufacturing.
- Participate in installations and final sell-off of training devices; coordinate and review technical/operational deliverables prior to submission to customer.
- Undertake independent studies, analysis, interpretations, and conclusions.
- Perform product development activities including parametric CAD modeling, drawing creation, and interpretation/implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate engineering activities with peers and management for efficient, cost-effective execution.
- May perform other engineering and non-engineering duties as required by supervisor.
- Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Logical problem-solving abilities.
- U.S. citizen (required by U.S. Government contract).
- Machine shop experience and familiarity with hand tools.
- Hands-on support of manufacturing.
- Experience with Model-Based Engineering and GD&T.
- Solid Works or Creo or similar parametric CAD tool experience.
- Simulation experience.
- Comply with all company security and data protection policies and procedures.
- Properly mark and handle all information; do not disclose to unauthorized personnel.
- Eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
- May work overtime, on and off shifts; on-call 24x7 for problem resolution.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods; lift 25 lbs to various heights.
- Work overtime and shifts as needed.
- Travel within CONUS.
- Climb stairs.
