Senior Civil Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing (US)
We’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing group, working on projects at state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities. You will be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi‑disciplinary, highly interactive team will conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development, prepare grading plans, and perform earthwork and drainage/stormwater calculations.
Key Responsibilities- Site development, site master planning and site selection
- Underground utility routing and site space planning
- Hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
- Analyzing and designing gravitational wastewater systems
- Performing final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing
- Providing erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans and support permit approval
- Researching and adhering to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction
- Stormwater analysis and modeling in software applications such as StormCAD and Civil Storm
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license or ability to obtain one within six months
- 15 or more years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience
- Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large‑scale industrial developments
- Ability to perform project discipline lead responsibilities on complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and direct civil team design
- Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience preparing, assembling, and reviewing construction drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams
- Display ability to learn quickly and drive to broaden knowledge base
- Bluebeam experience
- Experience using Navisworks
