What You Will Be Doing
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the PAC-3 Command Launch System (CLS) Program Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team supports all aspects of manufacturing and assembly of the PAC‑3 CLS through make sites and external suppliers. As a Manufacturing Engineer, your work is essential for the program to execute current contract requirements and capture future business. You will serve as a Manufacturing Engineering point of contact to other functions.
Frequent communication and collaboration with disciplines including Design Engineering, Production Operations, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts, Master Planning, and Program Management are required. Experience building positive relationships, communicating across functional and physical boundaries, and managing cost, schedule, quality, and safety is critical for the role.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working in MPMLink Windchill on Change Notices that generate Change Task (CT) s and create/update MBOMs and effectivities.
- Working with the Production Planning and Control (PP&C) group, shop manufacturing engineers from different Lockheed sites, and engineering.
- Work on PAC‑3 program tooling. Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
This position typically requires 2 years of professional experience.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- Professional experience structuring and creating MBOMs in SAP
- Applied experience leveraging manufacturing and assembly process knowledge to translate engineering BOMs into accurate production workflows
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Hands‑on experience in tooling and fixturing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
- Experience with Windchill
- Experience in reading/reviewing engineering drawings
- Proven experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency
- Ability to design, integrate, and update tooling systems (i.e., 3D printing, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing technologies)
- GD&T experience
This position requires a government security clearance. The selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen and obtain a Secret clearance.
