Job Requirements

Minimum age: 16 years or older.

General job duties for all store team members:

  • Operate all equipment
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler
  • Prepare product
  • Receive and process telephone orders
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
Training

Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communication Skills
  • Comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person
Essential Functions/Skills
  • Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly, may use calculator
  • Make correct monetary change
  • Telephone and verbal skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid accurate movements
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
Work Conditions
  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions while removing trash and performing other outside tasks
  • In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F or higher in some work areas
  • Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside
  • Fumes from food odors
  • Exposure to cornmeal dust
  • Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler
  • Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
Sensing
  • Talking and hearing on telephone
  • Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks
  • Depth perception
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
Temperaments

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Physical Requirements
  • Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position
  • Walking: For short distances and durations; surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks with linoleum in some food process areas; heights of work surfaces 36‑48”
  • Sitting: Paperwork normally completed at a desk or table
  • Lifting: Bulk product deliveries unloaded by hand truck; cases of ingredients and supplies up to 50 lb with dimensions up to 3’ × 1.5’; cases typically lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72” high
  • Carrying: Large cans weighing 3 lb 7 oz from workstation to storage; occasionally pizza sauce 30 lb; trays of pizza dough carried three at a time, approx 12 lb per tray
  • Pushing: Move trays on dollies; stack of trays requires up to 7.5 lb of force; trays may also be pulled
  • Climbing: Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders for maintenance
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at waist necessary at pizza assembly station; duration approx 30‑45 s repeated continuously; also at front counter and stocking ingredients
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas
  • Reaching: Continuous up, down, forward; above 72” to turn on/off oven controls, change signs, lift objects; down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; forward to obtain toppings, clean surfaces, answer phones
  • Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands and forearms/wrists while shaping dough, using pizza peel, rolling cutter, assembling cardboard pizza boxes; must grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, peel, boxes
