Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Lender role based in Arlington, TX. The Commercial Lender will originate, structure, and service commercial credit relationships, including C&I, CRE, and SBA-related loans, in alignment with the bank’s relationship-focused approach. Responsibilities include prospecting and building new business relationships, managing a portfolio of existing clients, and conducting financial analysis to assess creditworthiness and loan risk. The role includes preparing loan proposals, coordinating underwriting, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and overseeing loan closing and ongoing monitoring.

The Commercial Lender will collaborate closely with credit, operations, and treasury services teams to deliver tailored solutions, provide high-quality customer service, and represent Worthington Bank in community and networking activities.

Qualifications
  • Strong lending and credit skills, including experience with Loans and SBA lending products.
  • Proficiency in Underwriting and financial analysis to evaluate commercial credit risk.
  • Background in Finance, banking, or related fields to support sound credit and portfolio decisions.
  • Commitment to high-quality Customer Service, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Prior experience as a commercial lender or relationship manager in a bank or similar institution.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to commercial lending.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and engage in local community or business development activities.
