Ciera Bank has been serving Texas Communities since 1890, and we now have 8 locations. We are looking for a full-time Wire Desk Floater at our Graham location. The Wire Desk Floater position is primarily responsible for verifying all outgoing wire-related information necessary for the wire transfer process. Also, responsible for identifying questionable wires by matching data to customer wire history;
inputs qualified wires on computer for transmitting to the Federal Reserve and Bank network for DDA/SAV/GL entries. Work is routine in nature. Incumbent applies working knowledge of funds transfer principles and technologies to work performed. Works under general supervision and in compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations.
Functional:
- Performs verification with front line staff on wiring information and complete second page
- Serve as the primary backup for Wire Desk Clerk I & II
- Monthly Wire Reports
- Ensure wires are processed within the allotted timeframe
- Aid in other wire areas when necessary
- Ensure that prior day wires are scanned and indexed into Director
- Communicate with banks, resolve issues and manage reporting as needed
- Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships
- Responsibility includes flexible working schedule to meet the bank goals and daily business requirements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by the supervisor
- Accurate keyboard skills at 60 wpm and 10-key by touch
- Moderate PC skills including wire transfer applications
- Moderate accounting and balancing skills
- Ability to work in high-volume areas and meet daily deadlines
- Moderate written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with ability to explain wire transfer services and procedures
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma, or equivalent, and 1 year in bank operations experience
WORKING CONDITIONS (of the Wire Desk Floater)Internal – Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited . Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
External – N/A
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (of the Wire Desk Floater)Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most duties are performed from a seated position. Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds such as files, documents, and computer printouts. Deadlines, workloads during peak periods and pressure to achieve production goals may cause increased stress levels. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.
WORKINGRELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS (of the Wire Desk Floater)
Interna l – Frequent contact with employees throughout the Corporation regarding specific funds transfer transactions, procedures and problem resolution.
External – N/A
ACCOUNTABILITY (of the Wire Desk Floater)This position is responsible for the timely input of all wire transactions and achieving individual production goals.
