Senior Director Ambulatory Services Financial Operations Position Highlights The Senior Director for Ambulatory/Virtual Operations will report directly to the SVP Channel Financial Operations and will work closely with senior leaders for Urgent Care, Virtual Care Delivery, Texas Health Behavioral Health Video Visits, Executive and Concierge Health, the Addiction Recovery Center and all other components of the Ambulatory/Virtual Channel as it grows and evolves.
The position will also provide finance leadership for Ambulatory Pharmacy Operations and 340B pricing programs and work closely with Ambulatory Pharmacy leadership. Strategic planning operations, new business development, etc.

Full Time, Monday – Friday, 08:00 AM – 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities Serves as a resource for management, physicians and staff by providing accurate, timely and appropriate information to make financial decisions. Assures the accurate preparation of financial statements, including the adequacy of Bad Debt reserves, Managed Care discounts, accrued liabilities and Medicare/Medicaid liabilities. Prepares the ambulatory/virtual channel/ambulatory pharmacy annual operating budget and long-term financial plans.
This includes the coordination of senior management's best estimates of profitability and capital equipment needs. Also responsible for developing pro forma analysis for both expanded and new capabilities in this dynamic area where often minimal market data is available. Facilitate an understanding of Ambulatory Pharmacy and 340B Program operating and financial performance for operators who impact results Partner with finance and operations leaders in pharmacy and support functions to optimize the impact Ambulatory Pharmacy and 340B Program activities have on system-wide financial results Participate as the finance leader in a cross-functional team to maintain comprehensive data analytic platforms including dispensing, medication order, and capture data necessary to perform functions Serves as a member of the ambulatory/virtual channel senior management team as well as the ambulatory pharmacy senior leadership team.
The incumbent may be asked from time to time to lead initiatives with THR. The ability to operate and lead effectively across all channels in many "dotted line" or matrixed relationships in which many functions are centralized is necessary. The incumbent will serve as the entity lead for billing and collections issues that affect ambulatory/virtual channel and ambulatory pharmacy. These areas are still largely new to the market and THR and the finance lead will develop in depth knowledge of reimbursement trends and work with the THR CBO to develop policies that maximize reimbursement Delegation and Level of Authority:
The finance leader is responsible for review and approval of all financial policies and procedures affecting ambulatory/virtual channel and ambulatory pharmacy as well as general oversight authority. The finance lead shares responsibility for ensuring the financial viability and in conjunction with other management staff promotes the delivery of high-quality care. Lead financial and coordinate operational aspects of Ambulatory Pharmacy planning and forecasting processes;
ensure initiatives translate to actionable targets and drive income improvements for Ambulatory Pharmacy and 340B Program results
Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or equivalent required Master's Degree MBA or MHA preferred Experience 5 years increasing responsibility in financial management and leadership, preferably in a healthcare setting required 3 years Leadership experience required 3 years 340B Drug Pricing Program Finance Leadership experience required Licenses and Certifications Advanced HFMA certificate preferred upon hire CPA - Certified Public Accountant preferred upon hire Skills The finance lead needs to possess the skills and training to lead a diverse group of people.
The finance lead must understand the intricacies of complex organizational dynamics to effectively develop strategies for success. The finance lead needs to understand how to develop and integrate systems and processes into an organization so the organization's structure can operate smoothly and efficiently. The finance lead needs to have a proven track record of success both working in and managing within a matrix structure.
The finance lead must have a thorough knowledge of financial accounting, cost accounting, generally accepted accounting principles and internal accounting controls as well as a general knowledge of financial analysis, planning and computer systems. The finance lead must have the ability to prioritize, organize, delegate when appropriate and lead professionals as well as clerical staff to achieve outcomes in an expediate manner.
