Role Responsibilities
The Lending Operations Specialist will be responsible for processing all partner and member requests for loan maintenance, research, corrections and questions on all consumer lending products. They will drive a consistent positive member experience by exhibiting the Texas Trust Service Standards and promoting our Service Framework of Secure, Trustworthy, Caring, and Effective at all times. Will do so by building a relationship with teammates to uncover efficiency needs, workflow improvements and offer solutions that will strengthen the member’s bond with Texas Trust.
Perform due diligence at all times to protect the CU and mitigate risk.
- Corresponds and communicates with and members via all channels regarding loan questions, maintenance, document requests and/or any information regarding current and historical loans
- Follow-up with D&M on End of Lease including collecting of residual check, account maintenance during the end of lease time period, ensuring ACH, Auto Transfers, and Vanco payments are canceled, ensuring the payoff is applied correctly;
- Process and Track Personal Property Taxes on leases;
- Process and Track Motor Vehicle violations from D&M Leasing;
- Provide excellent relationship service between D&M, Indirect Retail Dealerships, and Texas Trust. This includes researching payoffs, member issues /questions, lease term end, payment history and any other services needed to assist;
- Monitor, Maintenance and Track all SCRA loans
- Research any lending credit reporting concerns including but not limit to disputes, errors, missing trade lines etc…report to Metro 2 Specialist and Lending Operations Manager
- Prepare loan documents requested by direct lending for loan funding for Line of Credit and Credit Card increases;
- Performing credit limit increases and expiration on LOC and credit card portfolio
- Research and correction of misapplied or missing payments for the full loan and credit card portfolio
- Member, branch, and Call Center inquiries related to payments, interest calculations, and posting logic
- Loan maintenance and servicing (payment frequency, due dates, recasts, ACH, fee refund processing, skip a payments processing)
- Credit card servicing research and corrections
- Weekly CPI premium posting, refunds, and GL reconciliation
- GAP adding, cancelling and maintenance on loans
- Credit life and disability insurance claims initiation, maintenance, cancelling through Tru Stage and SWBC
- Fraud loan unwinding, and reporting
- Employee loan maintenance
- Reconcile all lending GL’s including research and corrections;
- Process Credit Life/Dis premiums with Tru Stage monthly including balancing and reconciliation of GL
- Monitor Loan Operational reports including:
Lease Property Tax Log, Expiring Lease, Paid in Advance, Automatic Loan Payment Exceptions, Due Date Changes, Payment Frequency Changes, Loan Rate Changes, Payment Amount Changes, Booked Loan Report, Interest and Fee Payments, Closed End Loan Balance more than Original, Title Tracking and Secured Loan Report to ensure compliance; - Presents a helpful and positive attitude, focusing on solutions and promoting a collaborative environment at all times;
- Complete all Credit Union training as assigned;
- Practices and brings to life with the team our “Yes And… culture;
- Comply with established regulations and law requirements;
- Perform various other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year customer/member service experience;
- Minimum of 1 year in financial institution environment;
- Minimum of 1 year working in a lending environment.
- High School Diploma/GED;
- Preferred Bilingual (Spanish)
- Ability to operate computer systems with proficiency and comfort with technology;
- Requires an organized, detail-oriented self-starter who is able to work independently;
- Strong processing, analytical and problem solving skills;
- Ability to establish credibility and rapport, be friendly and personable and look for ways to benefit the member;
- Working knowledge of rules and regulations governing credit unions, consumer underwriting, origination, and servicing guidelines;
