Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client in Arlington, TX 76017. This is a contract opportunity and a great way to work with a leading healthcare organization!

• Job Title: Medical Assistant
• Location: Arlington, TX 76017
• Shift: Mon – Fri, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Duration: Contract
• Payrate: $20-$23 hr. on W2 (Pay rate based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties within the scope of Medical Assistant practice
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations
• Take vitals and assist providers during exams
• Administer non-intravenous medications and injections
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws
• Conduct EKGs and simple specimen collection
• Change wound dressings, remove staples, and obtain cultures
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment (autoclave)
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Support patient flow and coordinate care per provider direction
• Follow infection control standards and patient confidentiality guidelines

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Basic computer skills with intermediate Excel proficiency
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
