Providing specialized speech-language pathology services via teletherapy, this full-time contract role supports students in a regional day school program for the deaf (RDSPD) within the K-12 setting. The assignment focuses on delivering tailored interventions for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH), offering remote speech-language support. Located in Arlington, TX, the role runs through the current school year (CSY) with a start date as soon as possible and concluding in late May.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering speech-language pathology services remotely through telespeech and teletherapy platforms.
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) specific to the needs of DHH students.
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to enhance communication outcomes for students.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy techniques accordingly.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting consistent with regulatory and district standards.
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or certification as a Deaf Hard of Hearing Therapist (DHHT).
- Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students preferred.
- Proficiency in teletherapy and telespeech service delivery.
- Commitment to supporting a caseload within the DHH program.
