Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist

TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Arlington, Texas.

We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Arlington, TX. The right IR Tech should have 1 year of recent acute care experience.

• Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
• Prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures and report abnormal activity.
• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as needed.
• Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patients during all procedures.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to assure adequate safeguards for patients and operators.
• Use knowledge of physiology and anatomy to interpret examination requests accurately.
• Operate intravenous (IV) and dye injector pumps.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use the McKesson PACS system.

• 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
