Healthcare Insurance Eligibility Specialist

Job Overview

Our client in Arlington, Texas is looking for an Insurance Benefits Specialist for a 1-2 month project assignment to assist with entering and verifying patient insurance information.

• Enter and update patient insurance information accurately in the system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services.
• Confirm coverage details including deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and authorization requirements.
• Ensure insurance data is complete and compliant with internal policies.
• Communicate with insurance carriers as needed to clarify coverage.
• Work closely with Revenue Cycle and front‑end staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information in compliance with HIPAA.
• Support the team with additional administrative tasks as needed during the assignment.

• 1–3 years of medical office experience with insurance verification and benefits entry.
• Comfort with electronic medical records (EMRs), data entry, and general office systems.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Familiarity with medical insurance plans (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
• Proficient with computer systems and data entry.
• Dependable and able to commit to the full 4–6 week assignment.
