Radiology Technologist PRN

Shift: PRN (as needed)

Radiology Technologist performs standard, portable, and specialized X-ray procedures for routine and semi‑complex radiographic examinations, supporting physicians in diagnosis and treatment. This position requires ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x‑rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
• State Registered Radiologic Technician.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current License as an MRT by the State of Texas.
