Physical Therapist (PT) – PRN – Arlington, DFW

Location:

US‑TX‑ARLINGTON, Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas

Overview

Join the Rehab Without Walls Neurorehab team and provide functional, real‑life rehabilitation to adults in home and community settings. This PRN position (15‑20 hrs/week) is ideal for an experienced PT who values autonomy, flexibility, and working with adults in neurorehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
  • Regularly re‑assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
  • Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
  • Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, service recipient, and family members
  • Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care, and enhanced patient outcomes
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapist
  • Current Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification per state regulations
  • Preferred: at least one year’s work experience as a physical therapist
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury
  • Effective professional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to lift or transfer patients up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
  • Requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, and the ability to walk or stand for extended periods
  • Physical tasks may include pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and frequent positioning
  • Health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, as permitted by local or state regulations
