Position OverviewFull‑time Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor for The Arlin, Arlington, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott located at the corner of Lamar Boulevard and Six Flags Drive. The role involves delivering outstanding guest service during day and night shifts while ensuring accurate front‑desk operations and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome guests promptly and professionally, recognize return guests, and provide information on hotel services.
- Check guests in and out, issue room keys, record guest preferences, and ensure required identification is obtained in compliance with local laws.
- Answer phones, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
- Up‑sell rooms when possible to maximize hotel revenue.
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
- Issue, control, and release guest safe‑deposit boxes in line with hotel procedures.
- Communicate outstanding guest requests or issues to management for additional monitoring or follow‑up.
- Resolve guest problems or complaints using appropriate service‑recovery guidelines.
- Maintain safety protocols and report any health or safety incidents, security breaches, concerns, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty.
- Balance accounts from the day shift and ensure all end‑of‑day activities are successfully executed across all departments.
- Manage front‑desk activity, handle guest check‑ins and check‑outs, and schedule wake‑up calls and concierge activities according to guest preferences.
- Handle customer requests and complaints, direct other employees or departments accordingly, and create invoices, bills, and checks for vendors, employees, and contractors.
- Maintain and update all official documentation pertaining to the role.
- Answer calls and inquiries related to potential bookings.
- Minimum 2 years experience in full‑service hotel front‑desk operations.
- Up to 2 years experience as a night auditor (required).
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency with Lightspeed and Marriott hotel management software and general computer systems.
- Ability to perform computer‑based tasks such as data entry, accounting, word processing, invoicing, and billing.
- Advanced math and bookkeeping skills.
- Excellent time‑management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Schedule:
Rotating shifts including evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
Required availability: all shifts.
