Reports to:

Executive Housekeeper

The houseman at Caravan Court will facilitate daily housekeeping functions concerning guest rooms, laundry, and lobby.

• Deliver clean linen to housekeeping storages and carts
• Retrieve trash from storages and carts and send to dumpster
• Retrieve soiled linen from designated areas and deposit in laundry
• Sort soiled linen by type
• Separate stained linen for reclaim process
• Respond to housekeeping requests when required
• Set up roll away beds, cribs, shower chairs
• Accept housekeeping deliveries and deliver as needed
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly PM tasks

• Anticipate and attend to guest needs during interactions
• Be proactive when attending to guests

• Attend and contribute to department meetings
• Participate in cross training
• Complete all required trainings

Facilitate all internal communications and follow up accordingly

• Run all reports necessary to the operation
• Complete full shift pass on reports and checklists
• Log all work in appropriate platforms

• Adhere to all safety and security guidelines

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities

• Sitting:
  Short periods of time
• Standing/Walking:
  Long periods of standing, minimum of 5 consecutive hours
• Lifting/Carrying:
  Occasionally, maximum of 50 pounds. Pushing/ Pulling carts

• Interior:
  Hallways, storages, and guest rooms
• Exterior:
  Outdoor areas of the hotel

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately
• Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

• No prior experience required
• No minimum education requirements required
