The Talent, Culture and Engagement Service Partner supports the day-to-day execution of Talent, Culture and Engagement (TCE) services across core human resources functions. Reporting to the TCE Client Services Director, this role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers by providing frontline support, guidance, and services related to benefits, onboarding, records management, and general HR operations. The HR Service Partner ensures HR practices are delivered with consistency, accuracy, and in alignment with UTA’s values and policies.
EssentialFunctions
- Benefits & Retirement Services:
- Timely and accurately maintain, process and/or administer benefits enrollments, eligibility, changes, BAS activity, tasks, premium reconciliation, deductions, reports, filings, data, records, activities, and testing in Benefitfocus, People Soft, ACA system, & SGELIG.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and elevate complex issues as needed.
- Schedule and support retirement counseling sessions and help manage the retirement application process.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist in ensuring compliance with university and UT System policies.
- Provide customer service to and collaborate with Leaders, employees, HR, Payroll, Leave Management, Records, HRIS, and external vendors.
- Onboarding and Employment Eligibility:
- Conduct pre-employment screenings, including I-9 verifications and background checks.
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding sessions and ensure timely communication with new hires.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and institutional onboarding documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with campus partners to support a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
- Records Management:
- Process and respond to employment verification requests in accordance with university policies and confidentiality guidelines.
- Verify prior state service for eligible employees and update service records to reflect accurate tenure for benefits and accrual purposes.
- Collaborate with HRIS and other TCE teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across employment records.
- Maintain organized and auditable personnel records in compliance with federal, state, and institutional retention requirements.
- General HR Support Services:
- Respond to general HR inquiries from employees and supervisors, providing accurate and timely information.
- Maintain employee records and support data integrity across HR systems.
- Support data entry and reporting needs, including HR metrics and trend tracking.
- Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and Records teams to ensure end-to-end accuracy of transactions.
- Assist with exit interviews, unemployment claims, and documentation processes.
- Support HR-related training initiatives through logistics coordination and facilitation.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by the TCE Client Services Director.
- Uphold confidentiality and maintain compliance with relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in one or more HR functional areas (e.g., benefits, onboarding records management and general HR operations), or seven (7) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or related HR certification.
- Experience working in a higher education or large public-sector organization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, benefits regulations, and HR best practices.
