Operations Manager
About Rabot
Rabot is a technology company using AI and computer vision to automate and transform operations. We don't just talk about automation; we build it into everything we do. Our internal systems, field operations, and workflows are increasingly driven by code, AI tools, and custom-built software. We're looking for an operator who thinks the same way.
The RoleWe need a Head of Operations / Controller who can run the day-to-day, be the CEO's right hand, and bring a systems-first mindset to scaling this company. You won't just manage operations; you'll automate them, instrument them, and build the infrastructure that lets a small team punch way above its weight. This is an in-person role in Arlington, TX. You'll be in the field, in the warehouse, and in the codebase.
You report directly to the CEO and Co-Founder.
- Run operations end-to-end:
Manage distributed warehouse and field teams, ensure quality and efficiency across all sites. - Automate relentlessly:
Your first question when facing a manual process should be "how do we automate this?" Use code, internal tools, AI, and systems to eliminate toil. - Be the CEO's force multiplier:
Drive cross-functional execution, represent leadership, follow through on strategic priorities. - Build teams and systems together:
Recruit and lead operational teams while building the software and workflows that make them more effective. - Travel and be present:
Visit facilities across the US, meet partners on the ground, drive operational excellence in person. - Own the numbers:
Track operational KPIs, manage budgets, and build dashboards and reporting that give the team real-time visibility.
- Ops background:
You've worked in warehouses, factories, logistics, or field operations. You know what it takes to move things and manage people on the ground. - Tech-comfortable:
You can write scripts, build automations, use APIs, or at minimum work closely with engineers to systematize operations. You're excited about using code and AI tools to do more with less. - Natural leader:
People follow you. You have presence, authority, and the ability to rally a team around a goal. - Gets things done:
You don't wait for permission. You see a problem, you fix it. You see a manual process, you automate it. - Smart and adaptable:
No fancy degree required. We care about how you think, not where you went to school. - Startup-ready:
You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, wear multiple hats, and don't need a playbook to be effective. - Travel-flexible:
Comfortable with regular domestic travel across the US. - In-person in Arlington:
This role is on-site. You live in or are willing to relocate to the DFW area.
- You've written code to solve operational problems (Python, SQL, Apps Script, anything).
- Experience as a right hand to a CEO or founder.
- Early-stage startup experience.
- Background in tech-driven operations (Amazon, Flexport, or similar).
- Financial literacy; budgeting, forecasting, P&L basics (you'll grow into the Controller side of this role).
- Experience scaling operations through a high-growth phase while keeping the team lean through automation.
- Competitive salary.
- Meaningful equity stake in a growing company; you'll own a real piece of what you build.
- Opportunity to shape operations from the ground up.
- Direct impact on company trajectory; your work matters here.
- A tech stack and culture that actually uses AI and automation (not just talks about it).
- A team that moves fast and values results over politics.
This is a rare shot to be the operational backbone of a tech company at an inflection point. You won't just run operations; you'll build the systems that run them. If you're the kind of person who automates their own job and then finds the next problem to solve, we want to talk.
