We are looking for a lead Cloud Operations Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The role involves overseeing the design, sustainment, and optimization of secure cloud infrastructure across multiple CSPs, assisting with the development and execution of cloud migration, modernization, and integrated advanced technology for the United States Air Force. The engineer will lead teams supporting DoW and Special Access Program workloads, ensuring compliance with DoW cybersecurity standards, secure multi‑boundary deployment patterns, and rapid, reliable delivery of mission applications in IL2‑IL6, JWICS, or SAP‑accredited cloud environments.
ResponsibilitiesThe engineer will lead cloud operations teams, drive operational readiness, incident response, environment hardening, and mission uptime across secure and classified networks, coordinate with cybersecurity teams, AOs, and mission owners, and accelerate accreditation timelines and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications- 6+ years of experience supporting secure DoW commercial cloud environments, including IL2‑IL6, SAP, or JWICS
- 5+ years of experience with cloud‑native or network security architecture such as least privilege or IAM, RBAC, or boundary protection
- 5+ years of experience with Dev Ops for containerized or Kubernetes production systems (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Rancher, or RKE)
- 4+ years of experience with CI/CD and developer workflow automation (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, AWS Code Star, or AWS Code Pipeline)
- 4+ years of experience with IaC (Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible)
- 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes deployment and Git Ops tooling (Helm, Flux, or ArgoCD)
- 2+ years of experience leading cloud operations teams
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (e.g., Security+) within 60 days of start date
- 6+ years of experience operating, deploying, and developing in scalable cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud
- 5+ years of experience with networking across hybrid and secure DoW/DoD environments (NIPR, SIPR, TS, JWICS, SAP)
- Experience developing cloud‑native microservices and implementing DoD STIGs and CIS Benchmarks for secure system hardening and compliance
- Experience troubleshooting complex issues across networking, application, and cloud infrastructure in secure environments
- Experience with Kubernetes and container‑based architectures across multi‑classification cloud domains
- Knowledge of identity and access management (SAML, OpenID, Single Sign‑On integrations)
- Ability to automate cloud provisioning and configuration using IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- TS/SCI clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III Certification
- Advanced Cloud Certifications (AWS SA Pro, Azure Architect, or GCP Architect)
