- Design, implement, and maintain core infrastructure services critical to enterprise operations
- Provide technical leadership across virtualization platforms, artificial intelligence, identity systems, cloud environments, and enterprise collaboration services
- Administer, maintain, monitor, report on, and support operating systems, applications, and services
- Apply best practices for SLAs, redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Analyze problems routinely, troubleshoot complex issues, and design resolutions for systems and applications
- Lead the design, planning, installation, and support of computer systems, network hardware, software applications, cloud platforms, and peripherals
- Support business-driven initiatives through planning and system design
- Champion business and digital transformation, including AI, identity federation, and hybrid cloud adoption
- Exercise independent judgment in planning, scheduling, organizing, controlling, reporting, and monitoring IT projects
- Use the Help Desk ticketing system for incident and problem management, customer interaction, and follow-up
- Create and maintain system configuration documentation, standard operating procedures, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
- Maintain reports on system downtime, preventative maintenance plans, and disaster recovery
- Contribute to cross-training and task/role planning to create growth and education opportunities for junior staff
- Assist with management of Active Directory, Group Policies, users, and computers
- Provide Tier-3 escalation support and coordinate or elevate unresolved issues and emergencies according to continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Liaise with end users, management, and systems departments to resolve IT support issues
- Participate in the on-call rotation for production support and support change management processes
- Provide shift-based continuous monitoring of on-premises, remote, and cloud compute, platforms, and storage performance for a global network infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related curriculum and 5 years of networking and operating system experience, or AA degree and 6+ years in networking and operating system design, test, and maintenance, or equivalent related experience
- Experience managing/implementing VPS Windows and Linux server technologies, including RHEL, CentOS, Alma Linux, Rocky, and Ubuntu, on-premises and in the cloud
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365/Azure, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, InTune, Purview, Copilot Studios/Microsoft Foundry, BLOB storage, NSG, Azure Firewall, and Conditional Access Policies
- Experience with hypervisor technologies such as Broadcom/VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure Local
- Experience with virtual desktop technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Omnissa Horizon, and Citrix Virtual Desktop
- Experience with database technologies including Microsoft SQL, Postgres, and mySQL
- Experience with web servers including IIS, Apache/Tomcat, and Nginx
- Experience with mail security gateways including Iron Port, ProofPoint, and Exchange Online Protection
- Experience with identity management and federation services including Microsoft ADFS/Entra, Identity Federation, and Cisco DUO
- Experience with platform configuration/monitoring tools such as PRTG, Solar Winds, and Nagios
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services, including DNS, ARP, VLANs, SMTP, DHCP, and load balancers
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
- Well-refined troubleshooting skills and ability to determine root cause and resolve systemic problems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize issues effectively
- Ability to create, document, and follow processes and procedures
- Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
- Must hold one or more of: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or CISSP
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to U.S. Government contract requirements
