Responsibilities- Represent clients at USCIS for green card and citizenship interviews.
- Represent clients in Immigration Court for bond and removal defense, such as Cancellation of Removal cases.
- Review files for the supervising attorney.
- Perform legal research and write briefs, motions, and pleadings.
- Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and motions.
- Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
- Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys.
- Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking and writing).
- Good standing with any bar of U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in immigration law.
$74,000 - $84,000 yearly
