Director, Strategic Sourcing – Sterile Manufacturing

A leading global medical device and healthcare manufacturer is seeking a Director, Strategic Sourcing – Aseptic Manufacturing to join its Supply Chain organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that ensure supply continuity, optimize cost, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support a complex aseptic manufacturing network.

The successful candidate will lead strategic procurement initiatives, oversee supplier performance, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to deliver a resilient, high-performing supply base.

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies supporting aseptic manufacturing operations.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and commercial strategy across critical spend categories.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving quality, service, cost, and delivery performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvements, and supply chain resilience.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop sourcing solutions.
• Lead RFx processes, supplier selection, and ongoing supplier performance management.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and risk to support informed sourcing decisions.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing procurement team through coaching, performance management, and strategic direction.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness and operational excellence.

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• 6+ years of leadership experience managing procurement teams.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating complex supplier agreements and leading strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Strong supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting direct materials, manufacturing, or aseptic production environments is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
