Senior Manager, Sustainable Infrastructure – Environment This Opportunity

The Sustainable Infrastructure team, part of the broader Economic Growth & Natural Capital (EGNC) Portfolio, partners with mining companies to design and implement positive impact programs—such as workforce skilling, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture—that benefit mining communities and regions. The team works across the entire mining life cycle, helping clients achieve ESG targets while building the foundation for community resilience beyond mine closure.

The team draws on expertise from the wider EGNC portfolio, which also works with private sector clients as well as philanthropic bodies and diverse donors (IDB, USDA, AFD, WB) to support agricultural value chain development, enhance women’s access to finance, and mobilize capital for climate-positive initiatives. Overall, the business seeks to unlock and scale innovative solutions that drive inclusive growth and deliver sustainable value for communities.

Palladium is seeking a Senior Manager, Sustainable Infrastructure – Environment to lead team management and provide technical expertise across business development and project delivery in environmental risk management, impact strategy, and implementation, particularly within mining, infrastructure, climate, and nature-based solutions. The role requires strong expertise in environmental risks in mining, including experience designing and implementing environmental management plans, and overseeing biodiversity, decarbonization, major hazards, tailings, waste, water, air, and rehabilitation initiatives.

Candidates should have experience in the closure phase of the asset lifecycle, including Post Mining Land Use planning and program design, and demonstrate a track record of working with diverse mining clients in North America. The position also supports business development efforts such as strategic planning, pipeline forecasting, proposal development, partnerships, networking, and recruitment. Fluency in English and one additional language – French, Spanish, or Portuguese is required.

and Compensation

The position can be based out of Palladium’s Arlington, VA office or remote in the United States (only some states may be considered). Applicants must have current/future work authorization in the US as visa sponsorship cannot be provided.

The annual base salary for this position is expected to range from $120,000 to $140,000.
