Service Manager - Water Treatment

The Service Manager is a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing a team of Service Employees and managing industrial water treatment systems to achieve operational excellence. This multifaceted role integrates project, leadership, personnel management, customer engagement, and technical expertise to drive growth in service operations. The Service Area Manager is accountable for the successful execution of service contracts, with a strong emphasis on safety, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

They provide daily guidance to Service Technicians, maintain consistent communication with site leadership and various internal teams (Service, Regen, Sales, Admin) to ensure high levels of customer fulfillment, and guarantee the availability of necessary equipment and materials for operations. Furthermore, they are the primary point of contact for resolving service issues with customers, collaborating closely with the regeneration and sales teams to foster sustainable growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

Core competencies include technical acumen, leadership and EHS/Quality, team empowerment, contractual integrity, talent cultivation, operational oversight, client relations, and business development.

Key responsibilities involve employee management, small project leadership, technical documentation review, process optimization, stakeholder and internal communication, proactive issue resolution, resource allocation, performance analysis, risk mitigation, reporting, maintenance administration, daily workflow management, service report review, KPI management, fleet oversight, training and development, material procurement, SOP development, quality assurance participation, sales enablement, hands-on support, on-call availability, and asset protection.

Qualifications include a high degree of adaptability and experience in Management of Change, solid financial acumen, knowledge of OSHA Standards and other Quality and Safety protocols, DOT qualification experience, a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or an Associate's Degree in applicable disciplines, ability to obtain a TWIC card, minimum of 5 years of water industry experience, and minimum of 8 years of experience in managing people.
