Overview

Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled following proper lock out tag out procedures, performs corrective or reactive maintenance when a line is down, assists with changeovers of the machines as scheduled to accommodate the production schedule, and adjusts the machines as necessary to maintain productivity.

  • Leads and supports continuous improvement projects; supports new employees on the proper training of using, troubleshooting and maintaining the machinery; keeps spare parts and maintenance work bench and tool carts in order; maintains a clean and safe workspace; supports the safety committee to ensure all guidelines and regulations are followed, and is responsible for machine safety and proper operation.
  • Assists with startup and shutdown procedures in production; fills out proper documentation when performing adjustments, preventive or reactive maintenance, waste disposal management and proper documentation; assists with facilities maintenance as needed; performs in a manner consistent with company core values and purpose.
  • Attends all scheduled meetings, with attendance within policy; clocks in and out for work and lunch with accuracy; provides excellent customer service; follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines; demonstrates teamwork at all times and manages stress, including meeting deadlines.
  • Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious injury occurred during the prior 12-month period; follows policies and procedures to avoid verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled following the proper lock out tag out procedures, performs corrective or reactive maintenance when a line is down, assists with changeovers of the machines as scheduled to accommodate the production schedule, adjusts the machines as necessary to maintain the productivity on the machines.
  • Leads and supports continuous improvement projects; supports new employees on the proper training of using, troubleshooting and maintaining the machinery; keeps the spare parts and maintenance work bench and tool carts in order; clean and safe; supports the safety committee to ensure all guidelines and regulations are being followed; also responsible for machine safety and proper operation.
  • Help during the startup and shutdown procedures in production; additionally, fills out the proper documentation when performing adjustments, preventive or reactive maintenance, waste disposal management and proper documentation; assist with facilities maintenance as needed; performs in a manner consistent with company Core Values and Purpose.
  • Attends all scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually; clocks in and out for work and lunch with no more than 1 error per month; provides excellent customer service; follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines; actively demonstrates teamwork at all times; manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting deadlines.
  • Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period; follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years’ experience in a production environment repairing and maintaining custom machinery; excellent understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance processes; mechanical skills to perform maintenance and proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting techniques.
  • Able to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles/concepts; able to read/comprehend instructions given through electronic/mechanical instruction books, including electric, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams; familiarity with implementing or maintaining equipment and facilities based on ISO
    9001 or 13485; fluently speak, read, and write English; skilled in time management and multi-tasking; demonstrated customer problem solving skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn and perform primary functions of positions within department; ability to manage stress; ability to meet physical demands of the job including walking, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting for extended periods at a desk using a computer, phone and headset; and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 45 pounds.
