Job Description

The Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Technician is responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming materials, components, and assemblies to ensure they meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports manufacturing operations by identifying non-conformances early and ensuring only qualified materials enter production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming inspections on electronic components, mechanical parts, and assemblies

  • Interpret and inspect parts based on engineering drawings, blueprints, electrical diagrams
    , and specifications

  • Conduct measurements and visual inspections using standard quality tools and inspection equipment

  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials

  • Record inspection results and quality data in SAP or related systems

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions when quality issues arise

  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams

  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure measurement accuracy

Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent experience in:
    Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality or related technical field

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
    , preferably electronics or electrical manufacturing

  • Background in measurement laboratories, calibration labs, or quality inspection is highly preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret:

    • Blueprints / engineering drawings

    • Electrical diagrams

    • GD&T symbols and tolerances

  • Familiarity with quality inspection and measurement standards

  • Hands-on experience using inspection and measurement equipment, such as:

    • Multimeter

    • LCR meter

    • Micro-view / Visual Measurement Machine (VMM)

  • Experience using SAP for inspection records, material tracking, or quality data is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precise measurements

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
