Job Description

We are immediately hiring for a 2nd shift Supply Chain Operations Associate in Arlington, TX for our Supply Chain Solutions division. The position is Salaried, Non-Exempt and paid twice per month.

Annual Salary Pay: $50,000 to $52,500 per year.

Schedule (2nd Shift):
Monday through Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, with optional Saturday shifts 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM as business needs require. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work a 6‑day week when necessary, including occasional Saturdays. Employees who work Saturdays will receive a weekday off. This role offers consistent overtime opportunities, frequently earning time and a half even when working more than five days.

The Supply Chain Operations Associate will be responsible for operational functions (General Motors LLP Account) and independent decision making related to material availability and inventory control.

Essential Functions
  • Follow up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery performance to support production requirements.
  • Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers, providing direction on ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule. This includes decision making on timing for supplier ship schedules to allow them to push material out, pull ahead and expedite material as needed based on inventory coverage at plant.
  • Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to ensure no interruptions or downtime to the manufacturing line, inclusive of decision making on mode and required delivery window to ensure continuity of production.
  • Coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material and requests for spot buys, if necessary (SPO and other GM Plants).
  • Independently monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads for material pick‑up to support schedule variations, ensuring proper material coverage at lowest possible cost for the customer.
  • Review part buffers to determine they cover build requirements (Metal Centers and Powertrain). Document and manage S and AV code exceptions (Assembly Plants) including Alarm Interval maintenance. Determine root‑cause and take appropriate action.
  • MGO Data Maintenance – maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, making appropriate adjustments and judgments on posting inventory adjustments based on investigation and analysis. Investigate and process any record adjustment requests from the previous shift.

Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma/GED – Required.
  • Bachelor's Degree – Preferred.
  • 1 year or more administrative experience – Preferred.
  • 1 year or more relevant experience – Preferred.
  • Knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) – Intermediate, Preferred.
  • Knowledge of transportation management – Intermediate, Preferred.
  • Knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing processes – Intermediate, Preferred.
