The Production Lead will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily production activities of the production staff. This key position within the production team will ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Production Lead Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff
- Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed
- Ensure that production processes are carried out in accordance with established safety and quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Train and mentor production staff in the use of equipment and processes
- Monitor production schedules and workflows
- Enforce company policies and procedures in a consistent and fair manner
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Commitment to safety regarding the use of equipment
1. Supervise assigned production personnel’s daily activities (50% of the time) including but not limited to the following.
2. Execute daily operational tasks and duties (50% of the time) but not limited to the following.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years’ hands‑on experience working in frontline leadership preferably within an Injection/Blow molding manufacturing environment.
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Skilled in use of computer and software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn ERP systems such as Epicor.
- Fluently speak, read, and write English.
- Demonstrated ability to be self‑motivated.
- Skilled in time management.
- Skilled in multi‑tasking.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively speak in front of groups of co‑workers and vendors.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage as well as to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, freight, and percentages.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
