Cabinet Assembler

This role is responsible for assembling wood and metal components into finished fixtures that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production timelines. This position works across multiple assembly tasks and stations, supporting a team-based production environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Perform all Cabinet Assembler duties, including assembling wood and/or metal components into finished fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and engineering specifications. Use hand tools and power tools to fit, trim, and assemble components. Install hardware such as drawers, hinges, brackets, and trim. Inspect work to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications. Troubleshoot assembly issues and support problem resolution on the floor.

Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.

Promote and enforce a safe work environment and adherence to all safety policies. Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift. Monitor quality of work and address issues in real time to prevent rework. Drive a sense of urgency and accountability to meet daily production targets. Support waste reduction efforts and efficient use of materials. Maintain high standards of attendance, professionalism, and teamwork.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math (fractions, measurements). 3+ years of experience in cabinet assembly, woodworking, or manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately. Strong working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes. Ability to lead by example and influence others in a team environment.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with both wood and metal fixture assembly. Familiarity with production scheduling or workflow coordination. Continuous improvement mindset (lean manufacturing exposure is a plus).

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance. Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
