Lead Converting Operator (Day Shift)

Location: Arlington, TX
Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pay: Competitive pay based on experience
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000

Pregis is seeking an experienced Lead Converting Operator to safely operate converting and finishing equipment while leading production crews to meet quality, productivity, and safety standards.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-7 years of converting, printing, finishing, packaging, or related manufacturing experience
• Ability to operate converting and finishing equipment with minimal supervision
• Experience with machine setup, troubleshooting, and quality standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

• Previous Lead Operator or Operator III experience
• Experience with gluing systems, labeling equipment, rotary cutters, Straub applicators, and related inline finishing equipment

• Lead and support production team members during daily operations
• Review job tickets and verify materials prior to production
• Set up and operate converting and finishing equipment
• Monitor print quality, registration, tension controls, and machine performance
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor mechanical adjustments
• Accurately document production, waste, and downtime data
• Train and mentor operators as needed
• Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company policies
• Support smooth communication and shift handoffs

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment
