Gift Planning Associate

Overview

The Gift Planning Associate is a highly organized and collaborative professional who provides administrative and programmatic support to the Gift Planning Fundraisers. The role involves producing gift calculations, drafting donor correspondences and acknowledgements, and accurately recording planned gifts across a variety of vehicles.

• Draft and send correspondence and acknowledgements related to planned gifts.
• Assist with timely asset transfer and perform financial calculations for planned gifts.
• Process and record planned gifts (bequests, charitable gift annuities, deferred gift annuities, flexible deferred gift annuities, pooled income funds, charitable remainder trusts, and real‑estate gifts).
• Provide technical knowledge and guidance on all planned gift vehicles, including revocable and irrevocable options.
• Enter planned gifts into the CRM following specific procedures to ensure accurate reporting.
• Act as the primary support for all gift planning fundraising teams.
• Support donor research, proposal writing, and the preparation of program information for prospects and donors.
• Produce donor reports, perform analysis, and track prospects and donors using the fundraising management system.
• Maintain organized gift records and apply established processes to improve effectiveness.
• Collaborate with staff, donors, legal, and financial professionals and provide administrative functions as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
• Experience building relationships with staff, customers, vendors, or similar stakeholders.
• Experience generating reports and interpreting data.
• Experience working across teams and with databases.

This position is based in the DC metro area and follows a hybrid work schedule with an expectation of up to 3 days in person work at the Arlington Office per week.

The starting pay range for a successful candidate is $70,650 – $84,050 in the USA. Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, location, and other factors.
