Position: Central Staffing Office PRN RN- Labor and Delivery

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery – Central Staffing Office – PRN for Flexibility

Oh baby! Our Women's Services departments are growing by leaps and bounds. We're looking for experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses to join our Central Staffing Office team to float to at least 3 Texas Health Resources hospitals.

Position Highlights
  • Work location:

    The address is based out of 612

    E. Lamar, Arlington, TX 76011 and will
    float to a minimum of 3 hospitals.
  • Work environment:
    Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more Texas Health Resources hospitals.
  • Under the direction of the health care provider, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients.
  • Ability to triage, labor, deliver, circulate, and recover patients in both LDR and LDRP settings. Assist with initial breastfeeding education.
  • Work hours:

    PRN:
    On an as needed basis; 12-hour shifts, varying shift, mainly between the hours of 6:30PM-7:15AM
  • Weekday, weekend and holiday (1 winter holiday per year required)
  • Self-scheduling
  • Salary is$45.00/hour plus great differentials, 401K program, free parking

Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
  • CLIAFE:
    Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire
  • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program required upon hire
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required upon hire
  • AWHONN – Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
    OR IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required upon hire
  • Three (3) Years' RN Experience with one year in the last three years as a clinical nurse in specialty area of position (Labor & Delivery RN experience) required
  • In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will:
  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism.
  • Have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems.
Position Responsibilities
  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient.
  • Plans the care of the patient.
  • Intervenes as appropriate.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
