- Friday; 6:00am - 6:30pm
Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital is an independently licensed hospital located on the campus of Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. We are a 47-bed facility including a 20-bed Cardiovascular ICU and a 27-bed cardiac telemetry unit.
Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital is accredited for Chest Pain through The Joint Commission. We have achieved AHA's Gold Plus award for three years in a row plus AHA's Gold Plus award for Heart Failure.
We specialize in CABG and Valve surgeries, thoracotomies, general cardiac including heart failure, cardiomyopathies, AMI, TAVR, Impella, and heart catheterizations including angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies. We operate in a team-based environment with a cardiac focus. We boast excellent patient and staff satisfaction results have an amazing collaborative culture within all departments.
Here’s What You Need:- Bachelor's Degree, graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
- Master's Degree, graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program is required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
- RN
- Registered Nurse is required upon hire. - APRN
- Advanced Practice Nurse is required upon hire. - ACNP
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is required upon hire. - BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required. - ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire.
Skills:
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings.
- Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to assess, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care.
- Initiates actions to meet patients/families' needs.
- Takes actions to reduce patients risks.
- Performs specialty specific technical procedures safely and proficiently.
