Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator/Supervisor – Pre-Op/PACU/PAIN

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is hiring a registered nurse clinical coordinator/supervisor for our Pre-Op/PACU/PAIN departments.

As RN coordinator, you will work under the direct supervision of the Director of PREOP/PACU/PAIN and PAT, be responsible for staff assignments, ensuring organized flow of patients through Pre‑Op, PACU and PAIN, and disseminating information between management and staff.

  • Ensure appropriate staff assignments and efficient patient flow.
  • Distribute management information to staff and collect staff updates.
  • Implement Post Anesthesia Care record, nursing care plan, and integrate the patient’s hospital record.
  • Execute physicians’ orders, continuously evaluate patient conditions, and maintain safety, comfort, and privacy.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.
  • Prep patients for procedures, rotate into the circulating role to assist pain physicians, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the procedure.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a hospital setting.
  • Preferred: 2 years PACU experience.
  • Current Texas Nursing License.
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and strong knowledge base of surgical procedures and surgical patient management.
  • Understanding of aseptic technique principles and implementation.
  • Ability to care for patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics.
  • Excellent teaching skills.
